The emotional barriers sportsmen and women go through in order to perform to their highest ability is not something we often see represented within photography. Jimmy Baker explores the mental and physical preparation sports men and women go through whilst training. Choosing to photograph his subject in their normal environments, Baker’s work allows the viewer to ever so slightly look into the lives of those who have dedicated their lives to improving themselves physically and in the sport of their choice.
